Russian court charges Lukoil’s Varandei Terminal 2.7 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Feb 16 (PRIME) -- The Arkhangelsk Region Arbitration Court has charged Varandei Terminal, affiliate of oil producer Lukoil, about 2.7 billion rubles in favor of Bashneft-Polyus, spokeswoman for the court Nadezhda Semyonova said on Wednesday.

The claimant initially demanded a 9.3 billion ruble penalty, then raised the claim to 9.5 billion rubles.

The claimant demanded reimbursement of losses from January 1, 2015 until January 19, 2020 stemming from the elevated tariffs on oil transshipment in the terminal, as qualified by the antitrust.
